Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has transformed the way individuals interact with digital technologies, influencing communication, learning, decision-making, healthcare, and professional activities. AI-driven platforms provide personalized experiences, improved accessibility, and enhanced productivity. However, excessive dependence on digital systems has introduced emerging concerns related to mental health, privacy, cognitive functioning, and social connectedness. Consequently, digital wellbeing has become a critical area of research that focuses on achieving a balanced relationship between humans and technology.
This paper explores the evolving concept of digital wellbeing in the age of Artificial Intelligence by examining the opportunities and challenges associated with AI-enabled digital environments. The study highlights the role of AI in promoting personalized wellbeing interventions, digital health monitoring, and adaptive learning systems while addressing concerns such as algorithmic bias, digital addiction, diminished human interaction, and ethical challenges. Furthermore, the paper proposes a conceptual framework integrating AI awareness, digital literacy, responsible AI usage, and psychological wellbeing as key dimensions of sustainable digital living. The study contributes to the growing discourse on human-centred AI by emphasizing the need for responsible innovation that supports individual wellbeing while maximizing the benefits of technological advancement.
